Saw a Wednesday night preview of this musical with the understudy Alec Cameron Lugo playing the lead. Lo Steele played Susan, and Tyler Andrew Jones played Michael. Love this cast. I will probably see this again with Teen Council. Should be interesting to see it with Jesse Weil as Jon.

Clue

Waiting for Clue

This production of Clue was a slapstick whodunnit semi-improvised comedy in front of an ecstatic audience. Looked like a lot of fun to perform. Sold out satisfied crowd.

As it says in Anonymous Theater’s press: “Anonymous hides the cast lists not only from the audience, but from the actors. Each performer secretly auditions and rehearses one-on-one with the director, trusting them to guide them through complicated processes like intimacy coordination and fight choreography before they are thrust into the spotlight with people they’ve never rehearsed with on opening night.”

The Surprise Cast:
Wadsworth - Andy Alcala
Colonel Mustard - Kevin Michael Moore
Professor Plum - John San Nicolas
Mr. Green - Matthew Sunderland
Yvette - Vanessa Ray
Mrs White - Ashley Song
Miss Scarlet - Brooke Calcagno
Mrs. Peacock - Saren Nofs Snyder
Mr. Boddy - Michael Teufel
Cop - Kaia Hillier
Motorist - Matthew Curl
Singing Telegram - Megan Gotz
Cook - Cynthia Petts

"Broken Fantasy" opens with fifteen teens beginning their own fantasy DnD game and evolves into a journey they will never forget. Exploring the themes of growing up through the lens of a fantasy world filled with elves, bards, magic, and monsters, these teens find they have to let something go to continue their own personal growth. Will their final role lead them to victory? Is their next step filled with fear or hope? Fantasy and reality blend in this fantastical devised piece written and performed by the 2022 PCS Summer Teen Academy.

In a land of mystery, at a time of change

A hopeful dice roll makes all seem strange
Five groups of three on a sudden quest
Their ultimate goal they have not yet guessed
Growing up presents us with tests and trials
Challenging us to confront our denials
Beasts and Magic, bards and elves
Fantasy evoked to explore ourselves
A beckoning call from a misty cliff
What is reality? and what is a myth?
